James R. Ticchio

James Ticchio is a dedicated advocate for consumer rights, focusing his legal practice on claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. He spent his educational career at Georgetown Law obtaining a background in fields including corporate law, tax law, accounting, and finance to provide the most wholistic and effective legal counsel to his clients.  James brings a balance of enthusiasm and deep strategic thinking to each of his cases.


His judicial internships for judges in family, criminal, and civil law laid the foundation for his career in civil litigation. James has since spent nearly his entire career working under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and now proudly owns his own firm alongside his partner Brett Sherman. James is recognized for his holistic approach, offering clients clear and actionable paths through credit reporting disputes. 


His dedication to communication and accessibility has earned him a reputation as a responsive and trustworthy attorney. James is licensed to practice in New Jersey and New York, as well as in federal district courts in both states.
